Metallica will play Slane Castle on June 8th next year, it has been confirmed. They will be the second hard-rock act in a row to headline the outdoor venue, after Guns N’ Roses’ sold-out performance last year.
It will be Metallica’s first concert in Ireland since they played in Belfast in 2010 and Dublin in 2009. They were unable to bring the first, indoor leg of their WorldWired tour to Ireland this year because of the size of their stage show.
Concert Starting Time is 14.00
1 – College Square North, Belfast – Departure 10.00am
2 – Sprucefield, McDonalds Carpark – Departure 10.45am*
There will be a 20-30 minute comfort stop @ Applegreen Services en route (Stop time is depending if bus is running on time)
Estimated arrival at Slane will be 12.30/13.00, dependant on traffic at time of arrival.
We hope to be able to drop passengers off as close to the entrance as possible, this isn’t always the case and we rely on direction from local authorities, a meeting place will be communicated by the driver and the bus will depart back to Belfast 60 minutes after the concert ends or if everyone has returned on board, whichever comes first.
