Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to make their return to Irish shores next year, as part of a new world tour. The two nights in the RDS will mark Springsteen’s first gig in Ireland in seven years, since the The River Tour came to Croke Park in May 2016.
The tour marks Bruce and the E Street Band’s first trip since reconnecting on Saturday Night Live in December 2020. The band recorded Bruce’s recent album Letter To You together, the first album since 2014’s High Hopes. The E Street Band has served as a backing band for the Boss across his most popular albums, including Born To Run, The River, and Born in the U.S.A.
Springsteen is renowned for playing near three-hour long concerts, with huge setlists covering 50 years of music.
Ireland has been the home to many a legendary Springsteen gig, with his two-hour show at The Point Theatre (now the 3Arena) in 2006 being released as the live album Live In Dublin.
